Our People
Owner-inspected work, certified crews, and a company that has been on Vancouver roofs since 2001.
A commercial roof is one of the largest single line items a building owner or strata council will approve. Who actually climbs onto the roof, and who checks the work afterwards, matters more than any brochure.
Alex has worked in the roofing industry since 1994 and founded Laurentian Roofing in 2001. He built the company around a simple standard: do the work properly the first time, and stand behind it.
He still inspects every roof the company builds — not a sample, every one — and signs off that the work meets his standard before it is handed over. On a trade where the finished product is out of sight from the ground, that final check is the difference between a roof that lasts and one that quietly fails.
Every crew member on your building is either a qualified, certified roofer or an apprentice working directly under an experienced roofer. Nobody is left to figure out a torch-on detail on their own.
That applies across everything we install — flat roofing, torch-on systems, built-up roofs, single-ply, inverted roofs and waterproofing.
We have been a member in good standing with WorkSafeBC (WCB) since November 2003. For a building owner or property manager that is not a formality — it is what stands between you and liability if something happens on your roof.
Full detail on our coverage and site practices is on the health and safety page, and our workmanship commitment is set out in your warranty.
Most of our work happens on buildings that stay open — warehouses still shipping, offices still trading, strata buildings full of residents. Crews are expected to keep access clear, protect what is below, clean up daily and leave the site safe overnight. We are guests on your building, and we work like it.
